Why does Palin insist on talking like a high schooler?
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 10:16 PM by SemiCharmedQuark
"Like" "shout out" etc. It's embarrassing that so many people think she did well. I cannot think of one other country that has a head of state like that.

grown up at all.

than your average fourteen-year-old.

What in the hell is wrong with this country? Why would we allow a joke like this to even be suggested as qualified to be VP?

11. She never could play the flute worth a good god damn. I know.
I played for MANY years, and played well. I saw that video of her "talent" in the 1984 Miss AK pageant. Truly, embarrassingly deplorable playing.

8. It's a way to cover up the fact that she knows literally NOTHING
That's how she got elected, flirting, winking, touching herself all over, saying, "GOTCHA!!!" and trying to be cutesy to distract from the fact that she is not intelligent and that she has no knowledge or wisdom.

sometime in her teens. That's typical of a narcissist like her, by the way.

15. She tried hard not to be the valley girl she is.
I've watched video of her in more relaxed moments and her speech is full of "she's like, and I's like and we's like....like, like, like". She says "like" more than my teenager!

I gather that a "shout out" is some sort of public acknowledgment of something or other.

What, specifically, is a "shout out"?

29. Like you know, yeah I talk like that.
However I back it up with being able to move from the impact that our recent moves in Pakistan will have on our ability to actually effect change in Afghanistan to how important it is that we actually fund research into ideas such as solar power (especially in a state like Arizona where we get more than a little sunshine to use as well as wind and the fact that switching to a more diffused power grid gives more targets to the terrorists and makes it harder for them to do damage to our infrastructure) to the need to remember that the Supreme Court is going to be facing a clear change in the next four years-one that has a greater impact than just Roe V Wade but possibly overturning things such as Miranda v Arizona, Gideon v Wainwright, and most important (although a bit obsecure) United States v Butler.
