I respect Joe Biden because he won the debate and didn't ONCE attack Palin directly....
Even the scene after the debate where he shook her husbands hand. He walked over to talk with Palin's younger daughter. He was a gentleman throughout.

In the end, he won by being a diplomat, he didn't need to hammer her despite all her flaws.

Even Governor Palin, when the debate ended, walked across the stage and said "thank you" to Joe Biden about four or five times. It was like he basically saved her dignity and still won the day.

Bravo.

4. Those of us who have been with Joe for along time, knew he would do fine.
We also knew he would not attack her.

5. Sound strategy to just get it over with and focus on personal story and McCain himself...
Ignore anything irrelevant to those two principles.

8. I loved when he talked about his first year in the Senate
And how he learned that year never to question someone's motives, only their judgement and their positions on the issues.

He hammered McCain which is who he needed to go after. Palin is irrelevant.

10. Not much to be gained by him attacking, the media already calls them out for the most part...
He just had to get through it without appearing like a jerk. He actually came out looking like a true gentleman. A+ in my opinion. No distractions.

11. Joe came out very well in this. A real gentelman. Not like that grumpy old jerk McTroll
who thinks of women as beauty queens first.
