1. I think she's going to do well
Having just seen some clips from earlier debates in her career, I wouldn't be surprised if she keeps it simple and and straightforward, garnering good reviews.

That gives me sweaty palms.

15. My hope is that she blathers
But if she doesn't and she keeps it simple and serious, don't be shocked. She's a cunning piece of work.

3. I just hope that any woman who makes it to the white house
is worthy of it. Because if she's not its going to hurt us for a long, long time.

7. No, that's what bothers me the most. All potential women candidates in the future will be
compared to this airhead.

18. I can honestly say if we were watching Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison
debate Senator Joe Biden tonight I would be thrilled. She would be a worthy Republican candidate. I would not vote for her or want her to win, but I would respect her as worthy of the nomination for vice president and she could certainly handle this kind of debate and the reporter interviews and the job of VP. And it would be breaking the glass ceiling for women.

This is insulting.

8. If I had a nickel for every time I heard a woman say, "I don't agree with her, but
I can empathize with her because she's a wife and a mother too ..."

... I'd have a buttload of nickels!

17. Sure. I'd say yes it is, in a bittersweet way.
The token woman turns out to be a wispy shell, and no one was fooled. A candidate's qualifications are not defined by gender. That's a powerful realization.
