Some House Repubs want pork removed + amt reduced w/oversight -walked amendment to Senate mtg @ 4pm

this afternoon.

I saw this on CSPAN at around 3pm to 3:30 today and it was impressive.

They said that they would walk an amendment - removing the pork plus limiting the amount to $250 billion (because Paulsen says he only needs 50bil per month) and then they will revisit.

This will work toward seeing if the plan works to free up credit and still give congress a say in the total of 700 billion.

They were going to walk this to the Senate and ask for it to be accepted - then vote on the new one.

They spoke to the press for about 20 minutes with details and why this is much better for citizens.

I haven't seen any clips of it on news since I got home this evening.

Honestly, as a lifelong Dem, after listening to their arguments I have trouble understanding why Dems are pushing so hard to give Paulsen this 700 Billion for his own use so fast.

ON EDIT
JUST FOUND THE CLIP ON CSPAN:

1. So you watched the Republican House members and believed what they said???
Not sure I know how to respond to that other to say that I'm surprised you believe anything a Republican House member says.

2. Well. I watched the press conference and what they said made sense.
I suggest you watch the clip yourself and tell me what your problem is with their idea.

I'm not so partisan I can't listen to all ideas and make up my own mind.

Please listen before you judge.

This is not an us against them situation.
