I'm just talking hypothetically of course. Say you had a politician going on a nationally televised debate, maybe even tonight. You thought there was a possibility of said politician having an ear piece allowing them to be spoon fed the responses. Would there be any way to detect and jam those transmissions? Hypothetically mind you.

2. VERY easily. just find out the frequency of the earpiece,
and send a stronger signal, or just a whole lot of noise.

3. The Secret Service has technology far beyond what is capable for anyone to jam.
And you don't think she has access to the very best money can buy?

12. Remember that movie,"Anchorman?"
They switch around the words on the teleprompter that he has to read because he supposedly reads anything they put there.

I think Sarah would also say anything that was said to her via the earpiece. Wouldn't it be great if someone screwed around with it and told her to say something really outrageous? (not that she really needs very much help).

15. Yes it would be hilarious!
But you're right, she doesn't need any help looking foolish.

14. A good one - No

If it is properly designed, it uses spread spectrum techniques, such as frequency hopping in which the transmitter and receiver change frequencies frequently and fast according to a random sequence that only they know.

This notion of using a spectrum analyzer to find the operating frequency and jamming it would not work on that sort of thing.

Plus, you have a roomful of complex electronic broadcasting equipment for the televised debate, and you are more likely to cause interference with that than anything else. Have you ever been somewhere for example, where people's cell phones interfered with public address equipment? It is the bane of many a conference.

Finally, it would be in violation of FCC regulations.

That said, interception of simple devices was used to great effect to debunk certain faith healers a while back, but I doubt a sophisticated and well-funded operation would use anything that simple.
