Just passing along some info...a new voter to the rolls
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 05:23 PM by kwolf68
My wife has NEVER voted in her life. When I tried to get her to vote in 2004 and 2006 she scoffed at me and refused.

"It makes no difference"
"They are all power hungry scumbags"
"I don't want to be called for Jury Duty"

In nearly 40 years of life, she has never even been in a voting booth and never had the slightest inclination to go into one.

We'll, yesterday I pulled off a voter registration form so that SHE CAN VOTE. I am taking it to the town Registrar tomorrow and she'll be on the rolls with the full intention of voting for Barack Obama.

Now, I'll admit, most of her reason for voting is disdain for Palin, but she has become fairly impressed with Obama, while still holding onto her "they all suck (err, are kinda not great)" meme. Still, she's pulling the lever in Virginia, a state that needs her vote.

My wife is interesting...she is basically a stay-at-home mother (though she does contract work for non profits in DC), she balances our checkbook and ... our son plays hockey. Yet, she literally is digusted with Sarah Palin.

I can't imagine my wife is the only one.
