Jewish Rethug governor of Hawaii: I'm so ashamed...
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 04:43 PM by PCIntern
On Rosh Hashanah in Temple, some of us Progressives were talking about an article which had been written by Governor Linda Lingle for the McCain/Palin ticket which appeared in the Jewish Exponent, the Philly Paper published by the Federation of Jewish Agenices. It was one of those incredibly disgusting pieces to which I don't have a link, but it focused of course on how good the Republicans have been for "us".

We had a good laugh...

On edit: she was just on Tweety...

1. This is the first and only time Lingle has made any kind of a big deal about her Judaism
in fact, she is a regular guest on a political show called "Connecting Point", which airs on one of our four fundie Xtian TV stations. :eyes:

Why the state that almost certainly has the lowest percentage of Xtians in the country (for instance, Rep. Mazie Hirono is one of two Buddhists in Congress) needs four fundie channels is beyond me.

Actually, compared to truly venomous repuke governors such as Perdue (GA), Barbour (MS), Pawlenty (MN), etc., etc., she's really a pussycat. Like Ahh-nuld, she's more of a pain in the 'okole than a true menace to society.

If you were wondering why I left Palin (AK) off that list, it's because Lingle is probably wishing she were the obscure offshore governor on the ticket. Had the nominee been a conservative like Romney, she might indeed have generated some VP buzz.
