pic taken today of Palin arriving in St. Louis:

truthisfreedom: "SO, if you see that hairdo (or any hairdo with her hair down, which she almost NEVER wears,) you'll know that the earpiece is in place."

1. I hope the Biden group, or someone in that audience brings an RF jammer...

It's not hard to do... Even the students setting up the debate, if they're clever, could keep the podium areas flooded with interference.

Better still if they wait ten minutes into the debate to start blocking communications.

4. I hope they can cause feedback so loud it's painful.
It would be fun to watch her rip it from her ear.

10. Not with all of the PA and broadcast equipment in the venue...

1. It will violate FCC regs.

2. It will interfere with all of the other electronics.

3. A device of any sophistication will use spread spectrum / frequency hopping.

2. Yes, the one natural advantage Bush had during debates was
that disgusting tuft of hair in his left ear which concealed the monitoring device.

13. Isn't there a patch like device that can be attached right behind the ear?
It looks sort of like a Dramamine (sp) patch. I think it was mentioned 4 years ago. Don't be fooled if she has her hair up at debate time.

3. As if she's not bizarre and distracted enough
Can you imagine her trying to use an earpiece during a debate??

5. Do you REALLY think it would help her? I don't! In that one Couric
interview when Sarah was rambling about russia being close and then switched to health care, and about a min. into her rambling, she suddenly said "OH! And it all has to be about jobs!" When I saw that, I figured someone was prompting her, either via ear piece or hand signals behind the cameras. I think that's exactly what you'd see tonight if she had a earpiece!

6. Just to be contrary, I've got 2 issues with this tinfoilness
One, it only counts if her hair is down at the debate.

Second, use that space between your ears and think about the RF jammers... Ifill will most-likely be wearing an ear piece as well as, oh I don't know, the dozens of Secret Service that will be there...

7. As a sound engineer, I have to say that earpieces can cause confusion by the distraction.
Risky biz to use one on her.

8. Most ladies with long hair tend to push their hair behind their
ears at sometime. Maybe she'll knock the sucker loose. Wouldn't that be great!!!

I hope there is someone with a jammer around!

How will she resist pushing it back when she comes under pressure?

12. Maybe it will start to smoke.
That would make watching the debate worthwhile all in itself.
