Sarah Palin and the Bush "Bulge": Will Alaska's Governor be Wired for the Debate on Thursday?

by Cyril Mychalejko
Op Ed News
Oct 1 2008

"There's an old saying in Tennessee --I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee--that says, fool me once, shame on--shame on you. Fool me --you can't get fooled again." --President George W. Bush

Could Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin use public speaking lessons and public policy tutoring from President George W. Bush? The mere fact that this is a legitimate question a few days away from her debate with Senator Joe Biden, and five weeks away from her possibly being vice president-elect, is both laughable and frightening.

So how are Palin's handlers going to prepare someone Kathleen Parker, writing in The National Review, declared was "painful to watch," and Newsweek's Fareed Zakaria wrote, "what she has to say is often, quite frankly, gibberish."

One needs only to look back at the 2004 Presidential election when another unintelligible and intellectually challenged governor (President George W. Bush) was going up against a Senator (John F. Kerry) with far more knowledge and experience.

Quite simply, you cheat. -snip-

note: just throwing this out there for background, discussion sake .... let's see if Sarah shows up to the debate tonight with her hair 'down' or not. Personally I think she would just flub something like this up too. Peace.

5. I think both candidates should be throughly checked .... searched ...
before taking stage. In the interest of 'National Security' .... it is our future, and security to have the most bright, honest people representing us. seriously. :)

7. I know of a few people here on DU who predicted her look for tonight ....
because of this suspicion. I think I've only seen like 2 other pictures total of her with her hair down ..... EVER. And both times they were before she was even considered a VP candidate for McCain. Hmmmmmm ....

6. If she gives clear & coherant answers we will know she's wired.
This is their last chance to appear credible to the world.
Of course they'll cheat.

13. I would think something like this would have been ...
throughly researched and taken care of by now ... jamming gear in place just in case. But hey we still have those freaking electronic voting machines too ... so what do I know. :eyes:

22. If there was a wire, I think that made him stumble more.
Which is why they ditched it in the 2nd and 3rd debates (where Bush actually sounded better).

18. Like I said in the OP ......
I think she would just flub something like this up too anyway. Would make for a great circus on stage though if she got some hi toned squealing feedback in the ear piece on stage at some point. I would die laughing !!! This is the possible look she would give ....

only with the hair down.

20. Savannah Guthrie, covering Sarah Palin, just said on MSNBC that Palin
has a "bandage on her palm" from falling down earlier in the week.

24. I know ......
have two 'fans' installed on the candidates podiums ... let Gwen Ifill the moderator control them from her desk. Hit the on button halfway through the debate and bingo Sarah's hair goes up POOF ..... the flashbulbs go off to get pictures of the ear piece. Well that's what I would do anyway. ;)
