I posted a couple of days ago about why I support the credit markets bailouts, because it is the grease that will keep the main street economy going.

But I have to admit, I totally understand anyone who would question it.

We went through this same course of the sky is falling with the invasion of Iraq. Once burned twice shy.

Also the fact the Bush administration and McCain and company were saying the economy was "sound" while the underpinnings were being washed away, and then in a 2 week period to do an complete about face.

This is the same group that had the K Street initiative, that would only have republicans be hired to lobby in these sectors.

It would be hard not to question it.

From my perspective, this is about the main street economy, and it may not have hit you as an individual yet, but it will. First it is going to hit the small businesses.

Obama had been warning about this for months. And as Clinton said, those wall street investment banks that were the source of this boondoggle no longer exist.

Hopefully we can work this out together. It is not going to be easy for sure. No one can be sure it will work, and no can be sure it won't. The only example we have is the Hoover/Roosevelt example.

Unsettling as it is, the only hope we have to dig our way out, is kick out the republicans and start anew.

1. I have big doubts and questions too.
But there is a difference between healthy skepticism and being willing to burn the house to the ground because you don't like the paint in the ktchen.
