***Official Debate Thread Request Thread***

Hi.

So, we'll be having those ***Official Debate Thread #X*** things tonight, and I'd like to make a couple requests.

For anybody participating in them, please refrain from posting any images. They get big really fast, and are practically live commentary. Images play hell with the dial-up people. If you've got some cartoon or photoshop you want to show people, consider a different thread. The **ODT**'s have a very short lifespan, and you'll probably find a bigger audience somewhere else. If you post an **ODT**, please include a reminder on this.

And that brings up something else. If any DUer was planning on spending the duration of the debate on DU, it'd be great if you could volunteer to personally start every Official thread after the old one gets too big. That way we wouldn't have half a dozen different people posting half a dozen **ODT #4**'s. Ideally, this person would also be a moderator, so the old threads could get locked promptly.

OK, that's it.

DU's a lot of fun during the debates, especially if we're all on the same page.
