Activist Alert: Mudflats Activists ask for pressure to get Trooper Gate out before the election
Sarah Palin and the McCain lawyers have been trying to keep the TrooperGate scandal dormant until after the election. This is a link to a DKos diary that is demanding the information be out before the election.

Here's the intro to the Dkos diary that contains great information on the points to be made and the counters to the smears that have been said of the people who spoke against Palin.

"Our good friends at mudflats have been diligently monitoring this situation for us. Mudflats' denizens and Alaskans for Truth need our help:

All of the members of the Legislative Council who were present at the last meeting have already voted to do the right thing once. These people are under tremendous pressure to vote against the release of this report. They need our support, and they need to be reminded that this issue is important not only to Alaskans, but to all Americans.

Mudflats is requesting support to phone, mail or e-mail our demands for release of this to the legislative council to overcome GOP interference. You can read the posts here "

2. Thanks - This is an important issue and the Daily Kos Diary is very well done
Between the upcoming debate, the various signs of Palin's incompetency, and the financial crisis, this could be lost in noise - if you have a DKOS id and agree, the diary there should be recommended.

McCain Campaign Launches Micro-site To Frame 'Troopergate'

By Sarah Lai Stirland October 01, 2008

John McCain's campaign this week launched a new micro-site that graphically illustrates the politics of an unfolding investigation in Alaska regarding Governor Sarah Palin.

The site "The Palin Truth Files," uses a sarcastic video to play down a bi-partisan investigation by the state's legislature into the circumstances surrounding the firing of Alaska's public safety commissioner Walter Monegan. The panel wants to find out whether a personal feud in the Palin family influenced Monegan's firing. Monegan has said that Palin's husband had visited him and told him that Mike Wooten, a state trooper who was Sarah Palin's brother-in-law, wasn't fit to serve in his job.

But Palin herself has said that she was trying to alert Monegan to the danger that she thought Wooten was posing to her family. Palin recounted in an e-mail to the chief of the state police that she heard Wooten threatening to kill her father.

The new McCain-Palin micro-site presents viewers with an elaborate dossier of information that frames the investigation into the matter as a political hit job.

One section of the site features a scrolling timeline of the events, another shows a 'web of connections' between some of the investigators and Barack Obama.

6. Given the trouble he is taking with this web site and lawyers, suggests there is something
embarrassing there. If not, he would have done everything he could to facilitate this so it would be wrapped up well before the election.
