Do you see a coordinated Republican attack on the media? It is their message.
Today Nancy Fluffernut attacks Couric, yesterday Michelle Malkin attacks Gwen Ifill, Steve Schmidt smears the New York Times over articles about lobbyist connections to McCain .... none of them responds to the actual questions raised about Sarah Palin. McCain himself complains about "gotcha" journalism!

The Repubs are on message, and their message is to attack the messenger, and hope to arouse anti-media sentiment in their base. With anyone possessing half a brain, however, it will be obvious that they are simply avoiding questions they can't answer.

1. Yea
if the media keeps coming back at them and saying "But (sir or ma'm) you haven't answered the question yet", then it might backfire.

2. Keep in mind, at this point, their base is about all they have left
It doesn't really matter how much they whine about the media because it only does one thing for them, makes the media work harder to expose their machinations. So, please, let them pick on the media because they need the media much more than the media needs them.

3. Absolutely.
This is why we're getting as much information as we are. They've pissed (some of) the media off.

4. It does seem like an act of total desperation to do this.
It really is a dangerous strategy for them.

I hope it all blows up in their face.
