in my opinion about the debate tonight
all Joe Biden has to do is to be his regular smart self. He's already likable and smart. He just needs to be himself.
He will have all the right answers anyway.
I'm sure he's been prepping. But he's more like the marathon runner who is going running every day anyway. No big deal.

Gwen Ifill, although to the right, is smart and I'm sure she will do a good job. All she has to do is ask the questions.

Now Sara Palin. We all know she is all show and no substance. So it doesn't matter what she does, she'll still be snarky and dense.
I don't think she is stupid, but she has not the knowledge to pull this off.
A few weeks of cramming will won't get you an A on an exam when you never went to class. (metaphor...or maybe not lol)

I just think that the repukes are going to go through the motions here, and just hope she doesn't completely implode.

Expectation are very low for her, but I don't think the right is going to gain anything even if she is seen as having "not screwed up".
Any time she opens her mouth, the motivates she left and makes them cringe on the right.

Joe Biden will be the winner, and I don't think that that is going to surprise anyone. (even if the right pretends to be impressed by Sarah. Notice I said...pretends.)

1. I Agree
He needs to act like Obama did -- comfortable, likeable, presidential, in command of the situation and in control of the facts. He should acknowledge and be deferential toward Palin but debate against McCain.
