A word of gratitude to CBS News' greed...
In order to sustain ratings they are releasing the Spiro Igloo interview in smallish bites rather than one huge, spectacular "special."

Instead of us talking about that train wreck for a few days, it's talked about at the water cooler for almost two weeks now and the hurt is being sustained and ingrained. It won't shake off easily.

They are also being enormously generous with it (my guess, to build up Couric's cred). It's unavoidable even if you, like me, would never watch Couric's news.

So, thank you, CBS, for being greedy. Your vice has been of great service to the American people.

2. I remember how Couric never got to moderate a debate.
At least she got this moment....the questions really weren't hard, but Katie's expressions to Palin's answers just make it seem like it was a very serious interview, lol.

4. They've done their job - lowered expectations to a new low.
Mission accomplished.

5. Then again, there's a whole boatload of material.
They probably have to spread it out just to have time to cover it all.

6. It has occured to me that the McCain is just as surprised as we are,
that Palin returns from the interview saying everything 'went great'.
