Wes Clark on this financial crisis
In an economic forum held by the New America Foundation, Wesley Clark was asked to speak. With his Rhodes Scholarship in economics and international dealings with financial markets, he is uniquely qualified to speak about this topic. This was held a few weeks ago, before this bailout nonsense. It is scarily prescient how well he details everything before it hit the mainstream news (Obama seems to have his same instincts) in his opening remarks.

Here's to hoping that Wes Clark has a prominent role in an Obama administration. Wes Clark is out and about stumping for Obama too so his prospects for a cabinet post are looking up.

1. thanks for the link, I'm looking forward to watching it
Wes is a very smart insightful person, someone I'd be proud to vote for president. I'm disappointed he's not being used as an Obama surrogate. (That flap over McCain's being a POW not being a qualification for the presidency was right on target and was delivered bluntly. He did not denigrate McCain's service, which is how it was spun by the stupid press.)

I like Obama and strongly support him, but when it comes to favorite politician, Wes is my man. I really love the guy and his partner/bff/wife Gert.

2. I'm really hoping that Wes Clark will be Secretary of State
He deserves a cabinet position and I was rooting for him for Veep. I'm glad with the choice of Joe of course but Wes is a rare Democrat who should be put to more use. I'm glad to see that the Obama team didn't completely throw him under the bus and were just hiding him after that media BS over McCain's military record and are using him in their campaign strategy now.
