************** Voter Information Thread ***************
Need dates and times for registration and early voting for your state? Click here:

http://nass.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=149&Itemid=330http://nass.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=149&Itemid=330

Need to confirm that you are registered? Click here:

What can I do?

- Make sure you are registered to vote. If you aren't, DO IT NOW!

- Help others verify they are registered. If they are not - get them registered - pronto!

- Stay informed on any voting process changes, and report any regularities.

- Volunteer or contribute to the campaign: http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/main/du

- Vote early - the sooner you vote, the sooner the Democratic party can take you off of their calling lists. This will help the campaign and volunteers.

- Get everyone you know to vote (as long as it's for Obama - ahem.)

- If people you know are voting for McCain or are undecided - talk to them. Many people will change their minds with additional information.

- Win!!!

1. I have a couple of websites I like to give undecideds

I think people prefer to find out for themselves rather than be preached at by me. Sometimes I manage to have a conversation and things I know come out naturally, but I have trouble being forceful in my approach. So I rely on websites like:

www.votesmart.org -- a straight accounting of how each candidate has voted and how various interest groups feel about them.

www.factcheck.org -- factchecks the ads of each candidate.

www.opensecrets.org -- tells who's donated to each candidate and how much.
