McTesty is really burning a lot of bridges
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 11:06 PM by maseman
Usually when you are trying to market yourself as a "maverick" wouldn't you want to be able to have a lot of media friends in high places? You would think so. McCain has always been known to be more media-friendly than other Senators.

He has certainly turned that around very quickly. Let's list all the bridges he has burnt. I will go first.

1. David Letterman CBS (blew off an appearance)
2. Maureen Dowd NYT (banned her from the campaign plane)
3. Larry King CNN (blew off an appearance after pissed at Campbell Brown for ripping a campaign aid)
4. Campbell Brown CNN (run-in with Brown by McCain campaign aid
5. The Des Moines Register (rather snide comments at this morning's editorial board's Q&A)

Plus I doubt the campaign will be speaking with columnists George Will, Kathleen Parker, David Brooks or Republican strategist Mike Murphy (MSNBC) anytime soon. He's loosing friends and fast.

7. He's flaming out. Next 24 hours will be interesting.
Unless Palin grows a whole new brain overnight, life doesn't get any better for McCain any time soon.

This guy is totally out of control. It is obvious there is nobody in his campaign who will stand up to him and tell him what he needs to be doing. And at this point, I doubt if there is anybody on his team who even wants to. His senior guys are all sycophants/lobbyists. They know a sinking ship when they see it and they are going to be heading for the hills.

10. And now with youtube, every little glitch and scowl can be seen by everyone in the world.
I don't think many of the current politicians realize what power this new medium can have.

13. McLiar is finally showing the World what an Asshole he is.
I knew that he was one for many years. The US Corp Media kissed his ass for years. Now he has paid them back for their ass kissing by turning on them. Good! McLiar should retire & never be heard from again. Gov. Palin needs to be Impeached.
