Let's start campaigning for them for the NEXT election. If we even have a country left!

2. The most conservative members
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 09:22 PM by Patsy Stone
from the most conservative states. I expected Russ to vote no, but that's because he's Russ, not because he's a conservative. I expected Bernie to vote no because he was always against the bill.

I was going to try to find out how many of them were up for re-election.

6. It's sad when Coburn is the voice of reason in your state.
Ugh the only way Inhofe doesn't get elected is if he gets caught in bed with another man. Oh, and McCain is up THIRTY POINTS here. Bleh.

8. Lucky for him, then,
that there is no homosexuality in his family now, nor has there ever been any.

What is up with that 30 point thing? Don't your people have the TV and the Google? :)

10. Of the 9 D Nos, only Landrieu and Johnson are up for re-election? I thought Senators were
supposed to be "statesmen", who do whatever is necessary to support keeping thier country and its economy as strong as possible.

I'm really surprised more of the D nos aren't in campaign mode.

You expect Rs to strut and posture even when they may not have to, but not Ds.

9. I think it is too - here's a video of a press conference on it that Kerry gave in Boston yesterday
He does a great job explaining the problem. This is from a Boston TV channel. This is really what the President should have been able to do. It is clear that Kerry is as angry about the missed opportunities here as he has been on Iraq.
