Just before Thursday’s vice-presidential debate, four independent groups have been trying to seed public opinion by running advertisements that are critical of Gov. Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain.
Campaign Money Watch, a watchdog group, produced a spot focusing on Mr. McCain’s involvement in the Keating Five scandal, in which Mr. McCain, of Arizona, was accused of improperly exerting influence on regulators on behalf of Charles Keating, the high-flying financier and campaign contributor whose savings and loan collapse cost taxpayers $2 billion.

The spot is fairly tame, but dredges up a scandal that Mr. McCain would rather forget, particularly as Americans are struggling to accept, the government’s proposed $700 billion bailout of financial institutions.

4. GOOD MOVE! If you believe any of the talking heads on Tweety's
show tonight, they all said McNuts has no choice but to pull out all stops and go after Obama with everything and anything they've got. Wright, Muslim, inexperience, abortion rights, and anything else they can think up!

I guess the Obama campaign knows that's what's oming and this is a preemptive assault!

5. After Bill Clinton's speech for Obama today, Palin's debate, and now the
Keating 5 reminder...McTheif will be as popular as Bush.

Lower his numbers so any attempt at stealing this election will be obvious to the entire world.

Attacking Mcain at this point is like kickboxing.
Bruce Lee & some old guy and his token veep.

8. Oh my god, that wolf ad is excellent. It's remarkably brutal. Just gutting. It's a killer.
I love it. The people who made that thing are geniuses. The "one heartbeat away" ad was well-intentioned but is useless as far as I'm concerned... it's unnecessarily confusing and hard to watch. Why are the singing voices so happy? It's just weird.
