3. It's going to be on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
That holds a lot of people. I think the tickets are just for the close seats.

6. do you know what the closest SEPTA station is?
I figure that would be the easiest to get in and out.

8. In what respect, Charlie?
Sorry, I couldn't help it.

But where would you be coming from? And by what means?

11. I'd be driving up from Baltimore
So hoping to get a station in South Philly, perhaps at the airport. I just checked the Franklin Institute site and they list 30th and Suburban.

15. So, there's plenty of free parking in West Philly...
South Philly tends to be kind of tight with respect to parking and many of the spots are permit-only.

But if you parked in West Philly, you could easily hop on the Rte. 42 bus, which would take you into Center City along Chestnut St. or one of the trolleys, which would bring you into Center City even closer, along Market. Let me know and I can tell you where to park.

16. You can also get off at Suburban Station from the R1 airport train
which is at 17th & JFK and is pretty much where the Parkway starts. The Art Museum (where the stage will probably be) is about 6 blocks up the Parkway from there.

10. Suburban Station. I * think* though the rally may just be for PA
residents.... my email notification says for PA residents or students.

That would be weird though. You can get tickets closer to the stage by stopping in at Obama HQ. In Philly, it is located on Walnut, between 15th and 16th, next to the GAP.

17. You are in ! I have to work Sat. I work a few blocks away, So, maybe
I can take two hours to check it out. I saw Bruce in 2004 on the Vote for Change tour. It was great. I also saw him last year in DC... awesome as well.

I am moving to DC in a few weeks, and I won't be living in PA come election day. I sent in my request for an absentee ballot today. I can't wait to vote.

Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 08:21 PM by Marnieworld
I love Bruce and Obama and if I volunteer I get "preferred seating" which is nice. I'm excited.

Obama will be there too right?

13. I haven't even got a confirmation email yet
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 08:41 PM by Marnieworld
And i only just received an email about it. Did you get your tickets as an email confirmation or are you talking about getting them from a campaign office?

On edit: I got my email now. If I'm going it has to be a good view so I will get a preferred ticket tomorrow at an office. This was a brilliant recruiting move if you ask me.
