Anti-Palin 'Wolf' Ad Expands Into Battlegrounds (We have seen this already in Ohio)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/01/anti-palin-wolf-ad-campai_n_130744.html

Of all the ads to have aired this presidential campaign, one of the most successful may have been one of the least remarked-upon.

Weeks ago, Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund released a 60-second spot titled "Brutal," denouncing Gov. Sarah Palin's support for an aerial wolf killing program as well as a policy that places bounties on the forelegs of killed wolves. It was, according to trackers of voter responses, one of the most effective ads of the cycle.

It also earned the organization $600,000 in donations in the six hours after it was released, and more than $1 million overall. With the extra funds, the organization is now plowing money back into its advertisement.

1. I'd like to hear from you DUers who are hunters
Does the hunting community believe in this kind of savagery (shooting wolves from helicopters)?

2. Doing that is psychopathic
I don't care what anyone says

That is not hunting, it is just psychopathic- what kind of person derives pleasure from gunning down an innocent creature in it's own wild habitat?

The poor thing doesn't have a clue- it is completely vulnerable and you enjoy snuffing it's life out, watching it bleed and suffer from the air? from the air?

I don't have a DSM handy but enjoying torturing and killing innocent animals must be in there somewhere.

3. The could promote controling wolf populations...
without allowing people to do it from planes... that is just sick. It isn't hunting, it's just slaughter.

5. Wolfs are going back on to the endangered species list.
The only reason she promoted this was to increase the herds of elks and moose for trophy hunters...
