McCain won't even speak before Congress or the Press - he will issue a paper statement
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 07:11 PM by Ichingcarpenter
Think about that for a second..................... OK? Did it sink in?

He won't go before any cameras for free air time and politicking.

He did have a seizure then.

1. What will happen if he is incapacitated for real?
What a long and fascinating campaign this has been! High drama to the extreme.

back on track he's suddenly being really quiet. Is he even going to vote on it?

Where it looked like he had two petite mal seizures and became confused
when he left the stage?

19. The slo-mo really shows it!
A few days ago I noticed his left eye appeared smaller and the left side of his mouth didn't open as far... I thought he may have had a stroke or something. I might be willing to bet those tics shown in slo-mo have worsened.

commanding our armed forces.

12. It was on MSNBC earlier, and KO just confirmed it again.
Unless there is a last minute change of plan, the statement is going to be issued later this evening after the vote takes place and is finalized.

Something is clearly wrong with McLiar. He is staying in the shadows on the issue he "suspended" his campaign for. There is zero coherent logic that would support such a tactic. I wonder if he will let the Moose campaign after the debate while he days a long weekend and rests.

14. WTF is he going to do to get out of the next debates, or any
appearances, if that's the case? Surely he's supposed to have little get-togethers here and there...
I do think there's something wrong with him, but I'm wondering if it's (medically) that serious to make him not speak tonight; I think he's hoping to blame Obama for urging passage of this bill and if the American people are pissed off, it'll be Obama's fault and McAnus can say he never lobbied for its passage...

16. I wish bad health on NO one. This is a serious question - if he has to pull
out of the campaign due to poor health, what could be the possible outcomes? Would they insert a replacement candidate? Just trying to sort the various scenarios...

20. I would offer an alternative explanation
McCain is going to hit the airwaves with ads attacking Obama for voting for the bill, so he doesn't want to be associated with it.

(Beyond suspending his campaign for it, voting for it, taking personal credit for it Monday morning and denouncing Obama for not supporting it enough)

importance of passing it but now he's going to do a turn and say he doesn't. I think it will just show how erratic and crazy he is.

23. He's on record today for supporting the Senate Bill that Obama supports
So he he votes against it, he's on record for supporting it on the same day.

Besides it still doesn't explain not taking advantage of FREE air time at prime-time,
if he supported it or not.

27. oh dear Lord - this man can NOT be allowed to be POTUS.
IF he IS experiencing health related problems than the American people have a right to know NOW NOW NOW!

He said today that he would be going to Washington in person for the vote and it's certainly not like McSnake to miss out on occasion for grandstanding.

Very troublesome.

28. He will release a late night statement, that says there is too much pork
and other problems with the new bailout, and he is going to vote against it. He'll lead the news cycle tomorrow and will drown out the titanic shift in the polls, and might also drown out the VP debate.

That is my prediction at least.

36. It was, and he won't.....
because everyone in the Senate knows exactly what happened...and McCain had very little to do with even having the bill introduced on the floor as opposed to waiting till Thursday. Sen. Reid did that, and I venture to guess he had a little help.

I'm not kidding. Every time he or his running mate open their mouths on national television, more votes slough away. He's a walking disaster.
