Before she uses the term once tomorrow, Biden should define "Maverick"

I think, at the first available opportunity he should try to define "Maverick" as "erratic".

He can put it in Top Gun or James Gardner terms, but she should say "John likes to portray himself lately as a Maverick, but I do not think that means what he thinks it means. Judging by the decisions he's made since the campaign began (use some examples, but AVOID mentioning Palin here), he thinks the term means "erratic", crazily gambling with America's future on a whim.

While we need to do this anyway, by Biden defining the term TOMRROW before she gets a chance to use it, it will fluster her every time she says the word, which I'm sure will be more common than "uh."

Every time she opens her mouth to say "Maverick" (incidentially, that'll be the drinking game word), she'll be remembering how it's been defined so far.

That's the latest in my sage advice to Joe Biden, who is a beginner at this stuff.

You might want to pass that along to the camp. I don't know how long things take to get to Biden; but thus far I've really been impressed with the team's openness to their supporters' ideas.
