Vegas, baby
"Vegas: Because you need to be drunk to make it through this election."
That's the message on a new series of bumper stickers from Vegas.com, as Sin City begins a new marketing campaign that begins today through Election Day. To hear Vegas.com President Howard Lefkowitz tell it, by the time voters go to the polls, their frustration is bound to manifest itself in drinking, gambling and other questionable behavior. "This is our attempt to make the campaign a little more tolerable," he said. "Come to Vegas and you won't have to listen to all of the gloom and doom -- at least for a couple days."
The promotion asks users to book travel and entertainment on Vegas.com, and when they enter the name of their preferred candidate -- none of the above is an option as well -- they'll save 20 bucks.
At least what happens in Vegas supposedly stays there, unlike in the backrooms of Congress.
