I wish Kerry was on our side advocating outright repeal of PATRIOT, but he is not.

This is a bad law that infringes on civil liberties. You cannot put band aids on it to fix it. PATRIOT should be repealed in its entirety, and Congress should hold extensive hearings on any measure that deals with any power grab by the federal government.

Kerry voted for the damned thing, that should give you a big clue! Kerry is also against outright repeal. This issue has been debated ad nauseum in DU.

BTW, speaking of baseball, the Red Sox suck! Go Yankees (3 games ahead!)

6. Agreed. The constitution is being misused for political purposes
and Kerry goes after Ashcroft. If he does repeal it, then I'll be pissed.
