20. Democratic and Republican Mai-Tais
Edited on Tue Sep-30-08 11:07 AM by backscatter712
Drink the Democratic Mai Tai when Biden pwns Palin, and drink the Republican Mai Tai when Palin humiliates herself. (It's sort of a heads-we-win-tails-you-lose sort of game...)

Note the key ingredients - grenadine in the Republican Mai Tai makes it red colored, the Blue Curacao in the Democratic Mai Tai makes it blue colored. The end result is a drink that tastes like Hawaiian Punch, and is a little deceptive in that you don't think you're getting hammered until you try to get up and discover you can no longer feel your legs...

Republican Mai Tai:

1 shot light rum
1 shot dark rum
1/2 shot Orange Curacao
1/2 shot Orgeat syrup
1/3 shot lime juice
A splash of Grenadine.

Shake all the ingredients except the dark rum with ice in a cocktail shaker, pour into a rocks glass with the ice, float the dark rum on top. Optionally add pineapple juice if the drink's too strong or too tart for your tastes.

Democratic Mai Tai:

1 shot light rum
1 shot dark rum
1/2 shot Blue Curacao
1/2 shot Orgeat syrup
1/3 shot lime juice

Again, shake all ingredients except the dark rum in the cocktail shaker, pour into rocks glass with ice, float dark rum on top. Add pineapple juice if the drink's too strong or too tart for your tastes.

22. NO!! You can't go wrong if U serve Chicken Wings. HERE ARE MINE
MY FAVORITE COCKTAIL CHICKEN WINGS (good appetizers)

I have been making these for about 20 years!! They are just wonderful.

MY FAVORITE COCKTAIL CHICKEN WINGS

1 Cup soy sauce ( I use reduced sodium)
1/4 Cup oil
1/4 cup sherry ("Cocktail Sherry)
3 tsp sugar
1 tsp ginger
2 cloves chopped up garlic (1/4 tsp or so)
3 pounds chicken wings - Cut the wing into 2 pieces...the little "drum stick" and the 2nd joint. Discard the tip. Remove some of the fatty skin - It makes the wings less fatty.

Marinade chicken pieces (at least 2-3 hours) or overnight in sauce. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours in 325 degree oven. Turn often to distribute in marinade.

You can increase ginger a little for more kick and putting in a little more sherry is okay too.

Serve with Napkins (you may not need them because you'll lick the sauce off your fingers)

55. NO! Don't add chili to a "teriyaki' flavor. Here is a BUFFALO wings for you hot lovers
I would not do it. If you want HOT chili, favor, make Buffalo wings. THESE ARE FANTASTIC

Yummmmy BUFFALO WINGS

Ingredients
12 chicken wings (about 2 pounds)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
3 tablespoons bottled hot pepper sauce
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 recipe Blue Cheese Dip or Low-Fat Blue Cheese Dip
Celery sticks (optional)

Directions
1. Cut off and discard tips of chicken wings. Cut wings at joints to form 24 pieces. Place chicken wing pieces in a resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish.

2. For marinade, stir together melted butter, hot pepper sauce, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Pour over chicken wings; seal bag. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Drain; discard marinade.

3. Place the chicken wing pieces on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn chicken wings. Broil for 10 to 15 minutes more or until chicken is tender and no longer pink. Serve with Blue Cheese Dip and, if desired, celery sticks.

4. Makes 12 appetizer servings

5. Blue Cheese Dip: In a blender or food processor combine 1/2 cup dairy sour cream,1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing, 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese,1 tablespoon white wine vinegar or white vinegar, and 1 clove garlic, minced. Cover and blend or process until smooth. Cover and chill for up to 1 week. If desired, top with additional crumbled blue cheese before serving. Makes 1-1/4 cups.

6. Low-Fat Blue Cheese Dip: Prepare as above, except substitute fat-free dairy sour cream and fat-free mayonnaise dressing or salad dressing for the regular sour cream and mayonnaise.

Super Tuber

Super Tuber is a great snack that uses one of my favorite vegetables: The Idaho Potato. Of course, I suppose any type of potato could be used, but I cannot guarantee that a Super Tuber made with anything but a true Idaho potato would taste as good. Sincerely, Larry E. Craig, United States Senator

Ingredients
1 hot dog, cook's choice
1 Idaho baking potato, 7 to 10 ounces
Mustard for dipping, any style
Other condiments as desired such as cheese sauce, sour cream, chili, chives, bacon pieces or black olives.

Wash and dry potato. Rub with shortening or butter. With an apple corer or small knife, core out the potato center (end to end). Push hot dog through the center. Bake until potato is cooked through.

To Microwave: Place on microwave safe plate; cover loosely (to avoid splatters). Microwave on high about 4 minutes per potato until fork tender.

To Bake in Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake for approximately one hour or until potato is fork tender.

To Barbecue: Wrap in aluminum foil and place above medium hot coals, turning at least once during cooking. Cook until potato is fork tender.

Serving Suggestions: Allow potato to cool slightly. Eat as a finger food, dipping in your favorite hot dog condiments (mustard is my favorite).

Suzanne Craig
