Unf*kingbelievable: CNN: Is Palin the next Bill Clinton
"This is not the first time that I've seen a governor being questioned by some quote, 'expert,' " McCain told CBS' Katie Couric as Palin looked on. "I remember that Ronald Reagan was a 'cowboy.' President Clinton was a governor of a very small state that had 'no experience' either. I remember how easy it was going to be for Bush I to defeat him.

"But the point is I've seen underestimation before"

19. The Rhodes scholar
being probably the most important in the list. The guy had a sophisticated and well trained brain (not always put to the best of uses, but that's a different story).

33. You forgot to mention.................
Commander-in-Chief of the Arkansas National Guard (it's still hard for me to believe that military people hated him so much even though he held this important post)

2. Yeah, just like that guy who ran for President from Illinois
who was derided for a lack of experience yet showed an astounding ability to rally and inspire people.

You know him--he's the junior senator...what was his name...it's on the tip of my tongue.

Oh, wait.

5. I just got this email....
It says it all!

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year-old rancher
whose hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor
struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got
around to Palin and her VP bid.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Palin is a 'Post Turtle.'"
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post
turtle' was. The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a
country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on
top, that's a 'post turtle."

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he
continued to explain. "You know she didn't get up there by herself,
she doesn't belong up there, and she doesn't know what to do while
she's up there. And you just wonder what kind of dummy put her up
there to begin with."

about any policy question more complex than "is drilling good?"

27. Right on. I would say, though, that the story certainly doesn't suggest that she is the next B.C.
It's tough to read McCain's quotes with a straight face, no?

14. Good. If this doesn't piss off Clinton enough to get him back on the "O" team..
then nothing will. I have to think that the last thing Clinton wants to be compared to is Gov. Palin.. talk about a slap in the face.

17. Be glad they're using improbable analogies. When they start calling her the next Rachel Ray, beware
that they have found a model for someone who can skyrocket to success out of nowhere notwithstanding a paucity of talent and a conspicuously annoying personality.

21. Bill "Rhodes Scholar" Clinton? The MSM are IDIOTS!!
Bill Clinton spent the 1970s as a law professor and then Attorney General of Arkansas, and for most of the 1980s he was Governor of Arkansas.

Sarah Palin was mayor of a teeny tiny town in Alaska before becoming governor only 21 months ago!!! She hasn't even proven herself as governor yet! She has yet to be re-elected and her Alaska poll numbers are starting to tank because of her lying.

26. "But the point is I've seen underestimation before"
And we've seen overestimation before too. Oddly enough the same people that underestimated Bill Clinton are the ones that overestimated George W. Bush's competency and the same people nominating Sara Palin for VP. See the pattern?
