The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday—the first update with results based entirely upon interviews conducted following the first Presidential Debate--shows Barack Obama attracting 51% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%. Obama opened a five-point lead heading into Friday’s debate and has retained a five or six point edge every day since.

1. While I am happy, I am also saddened that
45% of Americans are so friggin' stupid as to vote for 4 more years of the same crap. As bad as things are, we should be at least 20 points up.

5. I agree
Especially states like Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Obama should be waaaay ahead in those places.

Sadly the rethug's brainwashing works well in the pulpit and on hate radio, making people vote against their own families self interests.

6. 40% have a Very Favorable opinion of Obama. That's a great number for a Rasmussen poll.
The debate has really help him.
