JOEY'S NOW BLAMING THE JEWS!!
He said that he worked on Good Friday which is 'every bit as holy to Christians as these holidays are to Jews."

FYI: Joey, you racist, ant-Semitic fool: 13% or the House, 9% of the Senate are Jews. All the others are going hom to campaign, especially you Rethugs who are in BIG BIG trouble. dumb ass.

1. That was very stupid of Scarbourgh.
He ought to know better. The republicans should hold their tongues, this kind of talk doesn't go over real well in certain neighborhoods in Florida.

12. It doesn't go over well in certain areas of St Louis either....
particularly the area where Bush will be hosting a fundraiser for Kenny Hulsof (pug candidate for MO governor) this week.

I say the pugs ought to let their true Jew hating selves show, maybe idiots like Sam Fox in St Louis will see the light and stop supporting that party.

16. Fairfax in LA already was in the bag for Obama...
...but Joey Dead Intern Scarborough is still a POS for downing the Jews for observing one of the highest of holy days.

That remark will not make a difference in how California goes...but I just hope to hell it helps get that asshole off the air.

26. Well flame me
but if this is a big emergency like they say then they should have stayed and worked and worshiped in the evening. As a nurse I worked holidays and weekends. I probably got one Christmas in five off.
Just my opinion.

27. I worked in the ER in undergrad school and chose to work holidays...
...since I was a young person in college and holidays were no big deal to me. That way, those with families could be at home.

30. I ended up being
assigned the holidays because I had no children. The common wisdom was those with children needed the holiday more. I am no longer Christian but working holidays came with the territory of my job in those days. We did not close the hospital for them.

time space.

He took that other fools place, Imus, that made the racist remarks.
Maybe that is the place they reserve for the bigots.

2. Sorry Joe,
So it wasn't the fact that the House GOP members have been sitting around with their thumbs up their asses for the last week and a half.

The credit markets and economy are going to tank b/c we didn't feel like violating our most important holiday, just in case y'all decided to take our thumbs out of your collective ass in the next few hours?

I'm going to try very hard to think holy thoughts. I'll just consider you my own personal challenge.

There's a prayer for the country. This year it's even more poignant.

13. I was asked to lead the prayer for our country one Saturday
morning and while I did, I managed to editorialize with various vocal inflections and emphasis...for instance the part that says something about DULY elected leaders or something like that, I used my voice to let it be known that Bush was not included in my prayer, that is so for sure. My friends knew exactly what I meant and I'm sure some of the pugs in the sanctuary knew as well.

GO-BAMA!

Hey..mods..can you make an avatar with the Obama O and a star of david in the middle? I'd love to have that as my avatar until 11/4.

6. It was very revealing. Mika looked embarrassed. I don't think she was expecting that.
I wonder why Mark Halperin didn't say something (I don't know why HE wasn't at shul himself!).

Couldn't SOMEONE have pointed out to him that it is the Jewish New Year and if Congress closes for the Christian New Year, well, what's the big deal with this?

Joe put Rep. Clyburn in an uncomfortable position, too. Clyburn, who is Christian, said he respected the Jewish holiday.

Joe just rambled on some more. It was a pretty hideous display of anti-semitism on the morning of Rosh Hashanah...

10. Nothing is stopping the remaining legislators from working on the bill
They didn't stay in Washington, when they could have. They could have requested that the Jewish legislators stay in Washington while they worked. None of that would have been inappropriate. Blaming Rosh Hashanah is weak.

I thought you meant Joe Biden because he's the only Joey in my heart. Whoo... that was a relief.

But yeah, this situation's making Joe Scarborough's latent Republican come to the surface with his talk of Obama looking darker and now this bullshit.

15. Well, that didn't take long
I was expecting some anti-semitic fool to start blaming the Jews on this one.

Nothing is stopping non-Jewish lawmakers from staying in Washington and working on a deal. The handful of Jewish lawmakers could then join them at sundown. In fact, it is possible that Reform and Conservative Jews could get a pass on working on Rosh Hashanah. Such allowances could be made for this particular holiday because the arguement might be made that not working this day could endanger the health and lives of others. Yom Kippur is when things absolutely, positively must shut down.

Truth of the matter is, Joey, that Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are more holy to Jews than Good Friday is to Christians. It is our Christmas and Easter rolled up into one.

Any one got the email address to this idiot so I can give him a piece of my mind.

I see him at night sometimes when I channel surf through Fox.

It seems to me a lot of DUers watch way more TV than I do. I usually can't stand it in the morning. I start my day by reading old news on paper, then I get fresh information by reading DU, then listening to the radio as I drive to work.
