Poll question: Do you support this 700 billion dollar emergency measure for Wall Street, banks, and the economy?
Seems like people have many different reactions to the proposed legislation that failed today. Just wondering about how folks here at DU felt about it.

1. Still on the fence......if I knew it would help then yes. But I have read enough to.....
have serious doubts that it will help at all long term and might make it worse in the end.

2. I feel about the same way. Everything in life is a two edge sword to some degree.

But unless you are rescuing the monarchs, nobody seems to pay attention.

4. I am not an economist but I run a small business
Things are scary now this may not be the remedy but leaders who I have some confidence in support this and some I don't. But something needs to be done.

5. Could be. But at times, doing nothing at all can be the best remedy. Not sure on this one. I have
heard several well renowned economists say that this approach is ass backwards. That instead of helping out Wall Street, the gov't should be helping out people who are loosing their homes and such. I don't know either.
