5. Just curious ...
Does anyone really use dial-up anymore? I live in the ass-end of Kansas, and I've got high-speed options out of my butt. And some of them are only like 25 bucks a month.

6. There's still 20-40 million people
who can only get dial up or go with expensive satellite and some can't get that because of line of sight problems. Unless something happens, I suspect many still won't have high speed even in 10 years, there's just not enough population density to make it pay off, even over a long period of time. Maybe if broadband over power lines gets to keep moving forward 99+ percent will get coverage in the foreseeable future.
