When I was polled early in the summer I was asked to confirm my address and date of birth. When they asked who I would vote for if the election were held today, I said "Obama". They asked how likely I was to change my mind to which I replied "I've never before voted for a Republican for president and I'm not going to start now." Only after that answre did the caller tell me that she was polling for thre DNC.
no never asked to confirm name or address. I don't recall if I'm asked for specifically or not- the pollsters seem to be happy talking to either me or my husband.
mostly always asked if my person of choice was firm or could i change my mind.
from NH- gotten a lot of polling phone calls over the years.
4. It was odd to me that they wanted name and address
Maybe it was because it was so local - they were asking about State Legislators so maybe they wanted to be sure the person polled live in the district.
