It's a HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY day today!

Well, for me and a few fellow Obama fans...

I got to see Obama's speech in Westminster, CO today, just down the road from where I live.

I got there early and got a good seat today! I got to shake Obama's hand, and he signed my copy of The Audacity of Hope!!!

 :toast: :woohoo:

Update: PICS!!! I had an awesome seat, except for being positioned so the floodlights were directly in line with me and the podium...

And I snapped this one just before I got to shake his hand!

And finally, I was shocked to discover that somebody had written in my book...

18. This is my only one tiny concern with the brilliance of the Obama campaign.
They are doing such a great job of fighting in new states.

I used to live in CA, and frankly always thought the Dem candidates spent too much time there.

They've really come up with a new way of winning.

But I do think in the next 30 days Obama has got to get to the blue states and show them some love.

CA, NY, MA.....the usuals.

We need to rev up the base as well as get all those undecideds in the last days.

Here's hoping he comes your way!

20. I'm surprised to hear they aren't doing more there.
Good thing though that Palin wasted two days in Philly -- don't think it will help one bit!

15. Pretty cool!
There was a big group, close to a couple dozen people that managed to get close enough to hand in their copies of Obama's books (some people were also trying to get autographs for Dreams From My Father) so I imagine Sen. Obama had to rush a bit when signing them.

That said, sorry my pics were a bit fuzzy - getting good shots is hard in the middle of a boisterous crowd, when I'm trying to take shots of the podium with those floodlights glaring (thankfully, my digital camera had a mode specifically for taking pictures of subjects that are backlit like that.) I'm glad I was able to get a couple good shots.
