And the big WINNER in today's 777 point loss? P A L I N
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 03:41 PM by RoadRage
Yup.. with all of the talk about the biggest finacial point loss EVER, I have a feeling that the CBS Couric / Palin Interview is either going to get bumped.. or be somewhat of a non-story in the scheme of things.

Hell.. knowing McCain & the Republicans.. it wouldn't surprise me if they purposly didn't get enough republican votes just so the market would tank.. making the news cycle about that instead of Palin tonight. Arlight.. tin hat off.. sort of.

2. Plus, when the economy completely tanks...
...Palin can hunt moose to feed her family.

At least if she can afford gas for the helicopter.

5. Maybe so, but the 777 point loss is bad for McCain and therefore very bad for Palin (nt)

on The Big Dipper regarding national security/foreign affairs. Does that person think she'll fare better when discussing the economy?
on edit - I heard they're airing the rest of her interview Wed/Thurs.

19. Someone here (sorry, can't rememer who) said earlier today that it was scheduled to
air Wed/Thurs. I didn't hear it myself (I've been on CNBC all day) - I'm just reporting what others here have said.

Tonight: The first interview with John McCain together with his running mate, Sarah Palin. Katie Couric asks them about the ailing economy and whether Palin is ready for prime time.

8. I consider that good news
Expectations have been lowered enough for her prior to the debate, if she manages to pull it out, we'll need something afterwards.

9. It doesn't matter. McCain/Palin are finished as of today
They are no longer a legitimate choice.

We won the election.

Somehow, though, I'm not celebrating.

10. Actually, that's fine with me.
Can she do any worse? Everyone's still downloading the Tina Fey episode anyway. Giving her a chance to redeem herself with a slightly-not-so-whacko interview would only help her.

20. Hell, no. I bet CBS' ratings have increased because of this interview.
Look at all the free publicity they've gotten...the story in the news itself, the talk on the internet, SNL's takeoff last Saturday night.

No way are they going to bump this.

21. dude.. they bumped it. Well.. most of it.. they showed the Grandpa interview..
but I don't think that was what was originally planned. Now moved to Wednesday & Thursday - before the debate.. that might not be a bad idea.

I really think McCain pissed off Couric big-time in that interview they showed tonight.. wow.
