Tell me if I am wrong. Osama bin Laden accomplished his goal with the
help of George Bush, Dick Cheney, the Republican Party and those who voted for this administration in 2000 and 2004.

Flame away. I'm looking forward to freezing and starving this winter. No hope of health coverage, limited jobs, ridiculous gas and food prices. Same shit, different day.

1. I was thinking the same thing this morning
Aiders and abetters to Terrarists. The gang who couldn't shoot straight. Come across the pond Gray, we're going off the grid with Geothermal. And planting a big ass garden.

3. In 2001 OBL said he would bankrupt this country
Little did he know he would have so much help from our own "elected" officials, i.e. Bush and Co.

4. I remember posting in 2003, that bin Laden was going to beat us from
the inside. Just like the fall of the Soviets, we did it to ourselves with our hubris. Our "God Bless America" slogans, like a god would choose sides between his creations. The Republicans are full of it. I'll thank my god that they got their asses handed to them, even though I'm sure that I'll take a financial hit.

7. We've played right into their hands since 9/12/01
Lost our freedoms and our economic stability - because of how we've reacted to the attack. And with every decision they made, Bush/Cheney always found a way to keep us making the sacrifices while their friends get rich.

10. And Bush/Cheney will not lose a cent.
They need to be dragged through the streets by a mob. I'll lead--I have pitchforks.

11. Well, kinda like Republicans giving Reagan credit for the collapse of the Soviet Union ...
... I'm sure OBL would like to take credit for this disaster, but it was really of our own making. Unless OBL had hired a lobbying firm back in 1999 to pressure Phil Gramm to loosen regulations.

Our poor economy, lacking a value-added foundation, *is* at the root of this crisis, and though *some* effect can be attributed to Bush's disastrous policies that have driven-up energy prices, the root cause lies mainly in deregulation and unfettered free trade globalization. The foundation of our economy has been shrinking for decades and so the Bush Admin tweaked the dials to spur the housing industry beyond what the underlying economy could support... and then poof!, reality interjected itself.
