** OBAMA WAS HANDED THE PRESIDENCY TODAY FOLKS **
The Repubs packed it in .... they put thier idealogy in a suitcase and climbed to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge and jumped .... head first and taking our financial markets with them.

This is what happens when you put your idealogy over country and refuse to budge.

So thank you Repubs! In the midst of a very sad day you in essance handed Sen. Barack Obama the #44th Presidency of the United States of America.

Last photo taken of McCain just a few moments ago. He's somewhere on the bottom deck taking a major dump from the constipation.

12. There is a huge monument to the last Democratic President who fixed things in DC

There is an Airport and a Government office Building named after the guy who started this mess.

Definition of Irony: Naming those after a guy who touted small government and shit on the Air Traffic controllers.

15. I have pondered that question for quite some time - during the primaries
The answer I finally came up with is this: Obama cannot possibly be doing this for himself. He has seen what has been going on in the past 8 (even 20) years and I think he feels *morally bound* to do what he can to make our country better. He started small, but as more people noticed and the better job he did, the more people began to put their trust in him. Only a person with true intestinal fortitude could put themselves in this fish bowl willingly. He is doing this for every American that is not a member of the elite (how they can put that title on him, I don't know). And he will do a great job as President because he will have *earned* the title instead of stealing it!

:hi:

Talk about a poison pill. This country is going to need some serious work by whomever takes over.

24. People are confused about this crisis, but at least know this: things aren't right in Washington
To most of America when it gets this messy and partisan they just lump 'em all together . . . and of course the person where the buck stops. After today's freak show it'll just reinforce that Washington's broken and we need a change. THAT'S why today very well clinched it for Obama. It's not going to be so close in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Michigan and Wisconsin now. Or Colorado. And we may even get Florida and Ohio. Virginia and Nevada would be icing on the cake.

22. There isn't a whole lot left to burn
It's wildfire season in the West and apparently in DC as well.

What is there left of our country besides stockpiles of nuclear weapons/waste and Weapons of Mass Distraction?

27. Let's not plan the victory party yet. The republicans will stoop low to steal this thing
But honestly, the fact that the republicans did little to pass this bill says alot about their support for McCain. I think the party is already planning for 2012
