I've only heard snippets here and there -- but so far the analysts/talking heads seem pretty unanimous that this is bad news for Gramps.

(The economic situation is bad news for a lot of us -- i don't mean to downplay that. Just curious about political ramifications.)

1. WHO CARES? Don't you get it? It won't matter who's president next.
We're headed for collapse.

3. I'm really sorry if things are bad for you personally

But claiming that this is the end of the U.S. makes you sound like Chicken Little...

2. McCain needs to be called out hard for his stunt.
And even more for his try to blame it on Obama. But I suspect the media will spin it to keep the race closer...

4. politically horrible for mccain
Economy front and center generally bad for McCain..an economic collapse on republican watch is much worse.

Today's performance by McCain another setback..taking credit for an agreement which ultimately failed.

9. LOL! I was just gonna post that!
I don't know who that guy was, but he had no kind words for Republickers. Also mentioned the Senate Republicans in tight races who feel stabbed in the back by House Repukes.

12. Even the cross-eyed Ref*ckuplican strategist that is always on
MSNBC couldn't really spin it in a good light for McCain. For the first time ever, he had basically nothing to say and he looked seriously shaken.
