My bet. McCain will pop a vein working to get 13 more Republicans
on board for this bill. If he can't do it, he is toast. If he can, he MIGHT find a sliver of hope.

a second time. Not going to happen. The bill was killed, along with any gravitas that may have been attributed to McCain.

5. McCain Screwed Up - He Needed To Approach Rush Limbaugh
The House GOP just follows what Rush Limbaugh says, and Rush has been aggressively slamming on the Bill. In the past, Bush has run things by Rush, but there is no evidence that McCain tried to kiss Limbaugh's ass. The House GOP will not budge unless Rush is on board.
