12. They 'suspended' her campaign when McCain did for no reason too
Of course its completely unnecessary, but what does reality have to do with a John McCain Campaign Stunt?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if this becomes they excuse they have been looking for.

19. Except that neither campaign was suspended; that was just hype
thrown out there. The campaign offices never closed, the ads kept running, etc. Nothing changed.

5. Sure, McCain will try the same ploy that it's best not to debate when the economy is failing
but of course Palin doesn't have any reason to be in DC and Biden can do more than one thing at one time.

7. Could be. Mr. McCain and Ms. Palin are proven cowards.
When crisis hits, they run and hide.

8. NO! The media won't let that happen! Remember what they said about
McNuts when they weren't sure he would appear last week? "The public has a right to know these candidates, and they can'd do anything back in Washington!"

That statement is even truer with Biden/Palin! She doesn't have a vote on anything!

13. I wouldn't doubt it in the least
I've said all along that there's a slim chance that this thing will actually take place. They've tried throwing everything in their playbook in desperation to get out of the VP debate but nothings worked thus far.

I fully expect one more attempt to derail the debate between now and the designated hour for the debate. Palin will not withstand a debate with Biden - period. No matter how they set the expectations and play it off on her looks and "charm", this will be a black hole for the the GOP.

14. No way... McCain tried that and Obama called his bluff. Biden will just have a national townhall...
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 03:03 PM by ClarkUSA
While the MSM would skewer Palin as playing a political ploy to avoid a bad performance. Heh.

20. Not even then will Biden pull out... because the show would go on without Miss Piggy.
There is no way Steve Schmidt would allow Biden to get 90 minutes of free national primetime coverage and the attendant
bad press that will be inevitably focused on Miss Piggy.

21. I keep thinking of Caddyshack, where Rodney gets
hit with a golfball and uses that to get out of finishing the round. "My Arm!" he exclaims, showing the crowd his lifeless appendage. "It's a tie."
