PPP NC POLL: Obama 47 (+1), McCain 45 (-1)
Obama is up 55-38 with voters who say the economy is the number `1 issue. 64% of voters see the economy as the number one issue.

He leads Indies by 11, up from a 3 point lead a week ago.

1. Just wait
Expect 75% of voters to say the economy is the #1 issue this time next week, and those will probably break at nearly 2-1 for Obama; McCain did himself no favours with his showy campaign suspension and claims of credit for the success of the now-failed bailout.
