is reacting to the assumption that congress cannot possibly be THAT irresponsible, and assumes congress will still pass the bill somehow real quick.

He's probably right... that the market is in a kind of rationalizing shock.

The question is whether anyone wants to hold positions over night. I would guess no, but the market is full of surprises.

The CBOE volitility index has cracked 45.
