Biden better take the gloves off. Palin is good for throwing the insults
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 12:10 PM by BrentTaylor
Says she’s never met Biden, “but I’ve been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was in like second grade,” prompting laughter and cheers.

Kind of a funny jab to throw. With McCain on the ticket with you

13. Biden needs to stick to the issues he knows backwards and forwards
And not play a game of juvenile insults.

5. I'm really not worried about how Biden will do. He will be respectful he will concentrate on McCain
and he will be very effective. She can throw all the insults she wants but that will backfire on her.

6. For all the concern people have
about Biden coming off as too agressive against a woman, I think the converse is also true. Sarah has to be careful too. She can't come off shrewish or nasty. The "mean girl" thing won't play so well with men. She'll probably remind all too many of them of their first wife who took them to the cleaners.

12. I'm hoping and expect that from her... her trainers are Bushies

I don't think they have anything else to arm her with that they can expect
her to retain cognitively in such a short time.

14. Yes.
She is being personally prepped for this debate by Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt - mean and nasty are ALL these people understand!

7. I hope she goes hardcore negative/snarky/sarcastic
It's a total turn-off. Look at the way the voters have reacted to McCain's condescension of Obama in Friday's debate. Thinking that McCain actually had some credibility making those kinds of attacks, it's ludicrous to suggest that if Palin condescends to Biden it will actually help the ticket.

But, I expect this kind of crap from Stunt Team McCain. Looking forward to it, actually. :-)

8. and from John McCain since she was in Kindergarten?
Not sure she can get a lot of mileage out of the "he's a Washington Insider" cracks.

11. McCain insulted Obama in the debate....
...by not looking at him and repeatedly saying he didn't understand. How well did that work for him. Not very. They weren't even overt insults. People don't like insults and they will backfire.

Biden is very intelligent, stately and dignified. If she threw insults at him...she'd be DONE. Insulting his age would be the heighth of ignorance if you consider that she's on the ticket with the 100 year old man!

18. And also unlike McCain
I really get the feeling that Biden is enjoying himself right now.
I think he likes the attention, the interviews, the crowds and getting the chance to really flex his encyclopedic knowledge.
When he was on all the cable channels after the first debate he just seemed so calm and relaxed and cheerful

After eight years of doom and gloom, I think this will really resonate with voters.

17. If that was her feeble attempt at a slam at Biden's age...
...thats a laugh considering her running mate....

Im not a mathematician, but if my calculator serves me correctly, at her current age of 44 and assuming that Palin was 7 in second grade (1971-1972) per
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_biden "In 1969, Biden began practicing law in Wilmington, Delaware, and was soon elected to the New Castle County, County Council, where he served from 1970 to 1972.

But then Biden's wife and year-old daughter were killed in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping in Hockessin, Delaware on December 18, 1972,<2> just a few weeks after the election."

Nice time of his life to be jabbing at...

Since she went to five colleges in six years, who the hell knows...
