Is anyone watching "the view"? Elisabeth just said that Obama
misquoted Kissinger and was wrong about him saying "talks without conditions with Iran." She also snarked at Joe Biden and said "Roosevelt wasn't President during the depression." :wtf: No wonder she likes Palin so much ...:eyes:

I emailed the view with a link from ABC news (she doesn't even know her own station's news) regarding the Kissinger quote and a history link about Roosevelt. I'm usually at work so I don't watch "the view" anymore--now I see why. I feel dumber for just having heard her say that:crazy:

9. Kissinger did a little revisionist history on this
He released a statement after the debates that said his view on Iran matched John McCain.

10. Too late. I think we can call this issue with Kissinger a draw.
He agreed with unconditioned talks at a lower level. And McCain was disputing Presidential talks. Whatever. I think McCain still comes out looking like an idiot for not knowing that Kissinger even said any of this prior to the debate.

Kissinger Backs Direct Talks 'Without Conditions' with Iran

September 15, 2008 6:16 PM

ABC News' Rachel Martin Reports: Former U.S.Secretary of State Henry Kissinger today told an audience in Washington, DC that the U.S. should negotiate with Iran "without conditions" and that the next President should begin such negotiations at a high level.

The former Nixon and Ford U.S. Secretary of State early in the year indicated his belief that the U.S. should hold direct talks with Iran when speaking to Bloomberg Television.

Kissinger spoke at a CNN sponsored forum at George Washington University along with other former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright, James Baker III, Warren Christopher and Colin Powell. The leaders were asked to pinpoint the major challenges the next president will face around the world and to offer advice about how to handle those critical issues. The secretaries named the fight against terrorism, restoring America's reputation abroad , re-building the country's economic power, and global climate change as a top priority.

When asked what specifically should be done to repair America's reputation and standing in the world, Powell, Baker and Albright all immediately said "close Guantanamo," referring to the U.S. detention facility. Powell added, "and I think that's something we all agree on."

14. She's just like Palin -- so unbelievably stupid that it makes their camp look bad
I forgot what she said the other day, but it was something just completely inane and ridiculous. The audience paused for a second and then just exploded into laughter while the other women just stared at her.

I'm all for having people like that get as much publicity as possible. Yes I know there are people who listen to her and believe her crap, but those people probably aren't ever going to bother to get educated, so no harm done.
