The format won't allow her to suck. All she had to do is not fall off stage and speak in broad themes in response to any question. Freedom, democracy, peace, strength, don't blink, etc. Let's not perpetuate what will turn out to be a rope a dope.

1. Yeppers.
Low expectations for Mooseolini, coupled with the rigged format and the fawning presstitutes in the MSM ensure that this will be a fiasco.

Who is going to call the Wasila Washout on her fluffy non-answers? Maybe KO and Rachel, but who else. And you can bet that her sophomoric insults will be touted as major winners.

2. I don't think even the set format can help her
She couldn't even get it right with a cheat sheet in Couric's interview.

Wasilla Washout--love it!

5. They switched it from the kind where the debaters can speak to and challenge one another to a strict
Q$+&A w/ the moderator, I think. (Saves Palin from thinking on her feet.)

7. Of course,
wouldn't want her going off the reservation, or getting into a tussle with Joe.

6. All Biden needs to do is act Presidential and knowledgeable
Palin can do all the attacks she wants but it will come off as petty
and not ready for prime time

Perception is the key.

8. First Question
The first question should be, "Why do you think this debate format is so restricted?"

10. I think we will see two people in two separate worlds.
One will be in Reality and the other will be in Fundie-land. Kind of like Kerry and Bush in their debate. Palin will have her (small) audience cheering what she says, but the rest of us will be rolling our eyes.

I think Biden is prepared to mainly focus on making his case to the audience, not be particularly argumentative. Palin will sink herself quite handily with little help. If he were to come out aggressively against her then she'll be able to play the victim; I think Biden knows that he needs to debate a woman in a different way and will do it well. He'll leave it to the media to slice and dice her afterwards.

11. With all the prep she's getting, there's no way she'll absolutely bomb on Thursday.
She just can't unless she's dumber than our wildest dreams.

12. I just read on FiveThirtyEight
the opinion that Biden should let Palin talk a lot, because the more she talks the loonier she'll sound to people in the reality-based community.
