Buried near the end of today's column from Howard Kurtz, where he is talking about Sarah Palin's disastrous interview with Katie Couric, was this interesting tidbit:

And the worst may be yet to come for Palin; sources say CBS has two more responses on tape that will likely prove embarrassing.

Given the excruciatingly bad answers she gave on Alaska's proximity to Russia giving her foreign policy experience, or her take on the $700 billion bailout, it's hard to believe that there's anything worse...isn't it? But the important question is, what is CBS waiting for? Why haven't they aired the entire tape?

4. I don't understand it.

I'm guessing that their ratings have improved with this interview. I would think they would be plugging away big time about any additional bombshells on that interview.

14. Couric is now considered one hell of a reporter

With this series of clips of her interview with Palin, she comes off as the brighter of the two for obvious reasons. As others have said, Palin has made Couric look sharp and that is a remarkable feat.

Add to that Biden's mistakes in his interview with her and her "credibility" has increased.

5. My bet? Some kind of end-times rant.

They probably asked her about energy or oil, and she mistakenly launched into the Dominionist line about it being okay to use up all the oil because the world's ending soon anyway.

I'm guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was right.

11. My guess is that the rape kits or her stands on sex ed/abortion came up during the interview

and Palin let loose a corker that reveals just how extreme her views on certain issues really are.

13. Not likely; subsequent reports say that it's a series of VP questions asked of both candidates.

They'll air both her responses and Biden's over the course of Wednesday/Thursday newscasts.
