Palin Prepping in Sedona All Week instead of St. Louis - Family Joining Her -
CNN)– Gov. Sarah Palin will now spend two and a half days near Sedona, Arizona, to prepare for Thursday's debate, instead of prepping in St Louis, as originally planned.

Sarah Palin will be at John McCain's rustic creek side home outside Sedona for what a top aide calls "debate camp."

The aide, who's part of the team prepping Palin, tells CNN they decided to take her to debate camp there because it is an "invigorating and enjoyable place to prepare for Thursday."

"SP loves it and has her kids and Todd coming," wrote the aide in an email.

The aide said "John McCain himself came up with the idea after thinking it would be great before his next debate.

4. Well, it is a lot more isolated from the press
So, she won't be out and about talking to the public like she would
in St. Louis. ..... What else? I don't know, but I smell something like Letterman
would say.

McCain may be wanting to keep a very close eye on - what is it now? - the fourth week of prep?

24. You mean she is the$700 billion woman and will secretly go to Area 51?
Sarah Palin, candidate.
A candidate barely politically alive.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild her.
We have the technology.
We have the capability to build the world's first bionic candidate.
Sarah Palin will be that candidate.
Better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster.

7. Still keeping her in a bubble
Hidden out at the McO.K. Corral. Can't speak to any reporters out there. I guess McDisaster wants to make sure he won't have to issue any more retraction from his inept VP. Maybe they're having a microphone inplanted and want to test it out? She has plenty of room in her skull for one since she doesn't appear to have much else upstairs.

11. I was wondering that. I mean, they could have tutors or do the home schooling thing
but we can't have that, since part of palin's appeal (choke) is that she is the mom of 5 that can do it all. :eyes:

16. I was just thinking the same thing. Press release from Palin next week!
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 08:06 PM by Parker CA
"After spendin' a few days here with the family, we all decided this would be the ideal settin' for Bristol and Levi's weddin'. We're plannin' on havin' them marry this next weekend, which is perfect, because if I can't remember my lines and the elite liberul media says I didn't do good, then Bristol's weddin' will be a happier thing to be talkin' 'bout than those debate things. It was all really John's idea, bless him. Cindy is here with us, and even though they've only known our daughter and her soon-to-be husband for a couple months, we are takin' their lead on the entire ceremony and marriage plannin', because, ya know, Cindy is loaded, and we're going to have the most amazin' weddin' ever here in Arzona!"

12. I'm glad she is not coming here to St. Louis
I really think they are going to say she is dropping out within the next 48 hours. Where would you rather be then if you were them. At a hotel or one of his homes? I have no evidence, I have just been expecting something...

27. The "ranch" is not in Oak Creek Canyon....closer to Cornville...
Actually its off Page Springs Road.

...and EEWWW...thought it seemed a bit strange around here today!

Definitely not rustic...but very beautiful!!!!! Green of the creek and then the red rocks rising up...prime land of course.

Dang,I was afraid that McCain was gonna spend too much here...and now Palin is here, too.:puke:

Hmmm....that also explains the big choppers overhead recently.

17. What a dope
last thing I would do is bring along my dh or kids if I had the mother of all trials for which to prepare, esp. a make or break, do or die debate.

I don't know what is really going on there, but this just makes no sense. Esp. not the addition of a highly dysfunctional, low rent style family situation. That is going to be noisy, fractious, and distracting in the extreme.

If it is really a debate prep, then I am happy because it will be on level with a boy or girl scout sort of event - lots of sing a longs, low to no pressure, just good old fun and of course, FLASHCARDS!!! That won't get her far in a debate with Joe Biden.

21. Yeah, I can't put my finger on it but something doesn't smell right
There are verified witnesses that Sarah and her daughter have some issues to work out.
I think that having her family around wouldn't help studying, Isolated cabin' for one, would pin up that family
where tensions might grow.

31. Given recent antics, I wait in wonder to see the next bright move of these people
Amazing race, huh? Like anything, no matter how far over the top, could happen at any second.

I wonder, though, if the McCain famiy cabin is something far grander than the image in our minds is of such a place:)

Hey, maybe John will show her that hill behind his house that he supposedly hikes, and in the process Sarah gets a big fat sprained ankle in a spill - just enough that she can't attend the debate. Or maybe they plan to be putting the finishing touches on that Palin Family Wedding that will take the media's mind off this pesky unimportant little VP debate.

Or maybe they are planning to say they had a family meeting instead, and Sarah is dropping out to take care of the family. You know, blah, blah, they had an emotional reunion in Sedona and she took a vote, and the kids convinced her.

22. I was thinking the same thing
I have four kids. The last thing I would want would be to have them and my husband around when I try to prepare for an important event. I remember going off by myself to the country to prepare for my first lecture...I was so stressed.

34. I too remember whenever I had something big going on.
and much more so if it was my first few times at doing it, I needed that space to get over the stress and to get comfortable enough with the task to find my game. Sarah Palin is so inexperienced at this that it is kind of irresponsible of her to be taking it so apparently lightly. She said yes to the nomination, yet she is not trying as hard as either you or I did to make sure our first performances in our given areas were as successful as possible.

Given Sarah Palin's knowledge of how far short she has fallen already in these soft interviews, she should be just craving having some space and distance to be able to focus intently on getting her game so she doesn't completely blow the debate. She has to be pretty stupid not know what she has riding on this debate, which is her whole future.

19. They're negotiating with Tina Fey to stand in for her during the debate.
Kind of like one of those body doubles Saddam Hussein had.

Tina at least could be counted on to remember her lines and speak in clear understandable English. Of course Tina's politics are making this difficult--not to mention expensive.

29. She is probably going there for the Sedona Vortex experience
THE FEMALE VORTEX EXPERIENCE

We use this Sedona vortex to unlock the female energy from within, which represents allowing and receiving. This experience will also bring into balance the Male and Female energies.

This is short 15-minute hike to “The Path of Gates,” which are four natural portals that set the stage with little healings and balancing before the big vortex experience. The path winds it way to the medicine wheel and the heart of the female vortex, where we will embark on a native ceremony and take in the breathtaking Sedona vista. Sometimes a doorway opens to another world, inviting us in! We join forces with our animal totem as we follow this shamanic journey and keep our hearts open for insights and wisdom!

The veil between the worlds is very thin in this special place. If you invoke affirmations and life-changing decisions here they can gain extra power and acceleration. In this place you can choose to leave your past behind and fly! Many people have experiences with their animal totems or spirit guides—so be ready!

more at http://www.sedona-spiritual-vacations.com/sedona/sedona-vortex-experiences.htm

or just google sedona vortex for a fun time. If you're nuts enough to believe in speaking in tongues or in creationism, you just might also believe in spritual vortexes.

Especially releasing female energy as part of a shamanic medicine wheel experience. I'm surprised she's not taking the witchhunter along to prevent that sort of thing from happening to her.

edit to add:There is a difference between new-agers and fundies, although I'm sure many atheists don't see it. For one, new agers tend to want peace and collective cooperation, fundies want to kill everybody who doesn't agree with them. And that's just for starts.
