personally I think its a good idea to elimate them - ethanol is not cost effective vs oil, though it does reduce imported oil some maybe, but its mostly a scam for corporate farms it seems.

Not sure the corn belt states are gonna like that though.

2. Pros and Cons for Ethanol as I understand
Cons first:

1)They are not carbon nuetral .. its takes more energy in than they give out

2) They affect food prices.

Pros:

1) Geo-Politics reducing dependence on Middle east .. ( for what it is worth)

2) Local Jobs

So there you go -- depending on what you support you can either be for or against it

3. The key thing is the job creation.... look at it this way....
Foreign oil creates thousands of jobs, so does Ethanol fuel production. It's not a perfect alternative source, but it's a net positive for the regions it's produced in.

It will be nice to see how this affects Indiana and Ohio, though.

9. not very well ......
if this info got out to the farmers it would be very bad for crash but most farmers listen to right wing bullshit.

only big ed can reach these guys out here on the prairie.

ethanol should be used for the production of food stocks not fueling automoblies
