Excuse me for bursting into the amen corner, but as an ardent conservative who warned everyone about McCain’s weaknesses and his haughty personality, you are seeing it play out in spades.

Independent women are CRUCIAL to capturing the White House, and that performance last night is tracking catastrophically with that demographic.

I warned you about his erratic behavior and look at his craziness last week.

I warned you that he was dangerously cavalier about fundamentals, and now you are seeing the Palin choice imploding. There is no way you can view the Couric interview and not come away shaking in your boots. This campaign is teetering on the edge of a cliff, and I can guarantee you that Thursday’s debate will push it over the edge.

McCain has one option and one only if he wants to win: Dump Palin and put in Romney. Anything less and he’s toast.

Say the situation was reversed and Obama had picked a running mate as clueless as Palin. One who claimed they had foreign policty expereince because they could see another country from their house, didn't know what the Bush doctrine was, had less than two years expereince as governer, had a pregnant teenage daughter and a myriad of personal scandals, and gave the same idiotic video couric interview that Palin did.

Would they really be trying to justify that pick? Of course not. They'd be laughing their asses off and calling them the worst vp pick in vp history. And rightfully so.
