Did McCain not look Obama in the eye cause of the height difference?
Seriously, some guys are really touchy about their height and McCain's only 5'6". Any photos of him doing so would clearly show he would have to look up to look Obama in the eye.

1. So what is he going to do when he's meeting world leaders
that are over 5'6"? That's not a reason, that's an excuse.

2. No, it was a simple anti-stress mechanism.
Think about it, you know that you have a bad temper. You know that you have to hold that temper back, with this guy you cannot stand, and have to debate. Your tactic to put the debate off failed, so you HAVE to be there. Would you rather look at him, or look at the signs with YOUR NAME on them, in the audience?
Plain and simple.

5. I just said in another thread...
I went back today, and looked at some video with Mccain and Romney and when they were in conflict, mccrap did not look at him either. It's a defense mechanism. It hides his anger, and his fear, or so he thinks....

I had no idea. I thought he was a bit taller than that.

7. It's the reason he didn't look up, I think
Sociobiologically, height is a very big deal to primates (even human ones).

9. from the distance they were apart I doubt it would have appeared
he was looking up. If he was standing right next to him I could see you point but not like this.
